Can You Be Trusted?
It may surprise you to know that 80% of people would not be willing to work with you if you hold a different world view (according to Edelman Trust Baromoter 2023). In an increasingly polarised world, finding common ground can be challenging, so how do you go about establishing trust, and its corollary behaviour ‘trustworthiness’?
In this article we look at an organisation that has consistently bucked the trust trend with some disarmingly simple behaviours that build trust in teams:
- Establishing shared interests;
- Keeping agreements; and
- Setting boundaries.
Whilst these seem pretty straight forward, there are interesting NASA nuances that you will not expect.
NASA 4-Dimensional System for High-Performing Teams
Based on the updated and revised 4-D program used by NASA, it is critically different in that it equips teams with the social leadership skills required to create psychological safety and set the scene for high performance.
